Mr. Stanley Obinna Zebulon

President/CEO (Venerate Capital)


A frontline executive with great passion for excellence in all spheres of life, an accounting graduate from the University of Lagos and a Chartered Accountant with over 10years professional experience.

He started his career in Securities Transaction and Trust Company (SecTrust) now Afrinvest (W.A) Ltd, a securities firm involved in investment banking, securities trading, asset management and investment research with a focus on West Africa and was there for over 5yrs in the Asset Management and Corporate Finance Units.

While in SecTrust/Afrinvest, aside managing various institutional / individual portfolios and mutual funds, he was the administrator of Nigeria International Debt Fund (NIDF) the only dollar denominated investment vehicle quoted on the floor of the NSE as at then and investing primarily in Nigeria Par Bonds and Promissory Notes until the Obasanjo lead administration secured debt relief from the Paris club in 2005 hence the restructuring of the fund.

In 2006, he made a career move and joined Greenwich Trust Limited a securities firm going into Portfolio/Funds Management having obtained the license to do same from Securities and Exchange Commission. In August 2006, he setup Greenwich Asset Management Limited and as the pioneer chief executive, he implemented the operational dynamics, business model, investment policy and administrative framework of the company.

His competence spans through investment management and business advisory services, business process re-organisation and financial intelligence in business management. he is experienced in the management of investment portfolios of various natures, Corporate/Individual portfolios, Mutual Funds and Investment Trusts.

He has attended a number of courses organised by Euromoney, LBS and other reputable training organisations both locally and abroad.

His competence spans through investment management and business advisory services, business process re-organisation and financial intelligence in business management. he is experienced in the management of investment portfolios of various natures, Corporate/Individual portfolios, Mutual Funds and Investment Trusts.

Godswill C. Umunnakwe

President/CEO (Venerate Consulting)


Mr. Godswill C. Umunnakwe – President/CEO (Venerate Consulting): An Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Nigeria Institute of Management and Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc in Medical Microbiology from University of Port Harcourt with post qualification experience of well over fifteen [15] years.

Mr. Umunnakwe started his career in the Insurance Sector working in different departments of over three [3] Insurance Companies that spanned over Six years across Marine, Underwriting, General Business and Business Development. He ventured in to banking that spanned for about four years in Treasury Division of Broad Bank [Now Union Bank Plc] where he was exposed to Treasury Marketing for Non-Banking Financial Institutions, Credit Analysis and Management of stock brokers Accounts.

He is an astute resource person with a strong passion for Customer Service Relationship, Human Capital Development and getting the Job done.

He is an alumni of Lagos Business School (AMP) and he has attended a number of corporate re-structuring/re-engineering courses both locally and internationally.

Mrs. Feyi Soluade-George

Director


Born in Nigeria, Mrs George studied at the University of Lagos where she graduated with an honors degree in French and Philosophy, Diploma in Mass Communication and a law degree. She also attended the Nigerian Law School. Mrs. Soluade-George is also an attorney with specialty in Oil and Gas law.

Mrs. George, Feyi is the Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer for Dunia Oil and Technical Services in Lagos, Nigeria. She is also the Director of Afren Global Energy, Executive Director of Hermes & Oil&Gas Limited, Vice Chairman of A. Hak Limited, and part of the Board of Trustees for Niger Delta Exploration Plc.

Mrs. George has extensive experience in Public Affairs and Relations, Legal Consulting and even served as the First Lady of Ondo State in 1987-1990. she contains a large interest in Women’s Affairs, and has published over 30 publications on various aspects of women’s activities. Mrs. George frequently attends International Conferences and Workshops while delivering papers on Women Development.

Mrs. George has obtained several degrees with honors in Communication French and Philosophy, and has studied Law at Nigerian Law School. She is well known figure internationally with the ability to speak five different languages, and frequently gives lectures around the world.

Michael A. Essien

Special Consultant


Michael A. Essien is a Counsel with the Essien Law Office, practicing intellectual property law with a focus on patents, trademarks, copyrights, and e-commerce. Mr. Essien worked as an intellectual property attorney at a Minneapolis law firm, a patent agent at Valspar Corporation, and a patent engineer at 3M. Mr. Essien is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patents and Trademark Office and concentrates his practice on patent prosecutions and trademark applications, opinions, copyrights, strategic planning, and client counselling regarding intellectual property protection. His patent prosecution experience includes the areas of polymer chemistry, materials and process engineering, paints and coatings technologies, biomedical material and DNA handling systems, active agents encapsulation, and vibration dampening material technologies. His trademark practice includes prosecution, enforcement, domain name disputes and resolution (UDRP), and registrations under the Madrid Protocol.

Mr. Essien is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota, and is a member of Ramsey County Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association and the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers. He has co-chaired the MIPLA's Intellectual Property Law Revision & PTO Committee and has presented several seminars on IP Law Rules Revision.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Essien worked for several years as a quality, process and new product development engineer at 3M. He is a named inventor on two issued US patents. He has extensive experience in adhesives, micro prismatic and retro reflective film technology for the transportation safety industry, and process engineering.

Mr. Essien received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. His J.D. is from William Mitchell College of Law where he was a member of the Law Review. Mr. Essien was the recipient of the William Mitchell Alumni Association Student Award of Merit for exceptional contributions to the College. He volunteers with the United Way, is a board member of Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce and President of Association of Nigerian Engineers in Minnesota.

Ekerete Ola Gam-Ikon

A member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, he holds a Degree in Economics from the University of Calabar and has attended several local and international courses/seminars on Insurance, Management, Strategy and Leadership.

His career spanning two decades started from Leadway Assurance Company Limited in 1990 before he left to join the pioneer team of Mutual Benefits Assurance in 1995. In 2001, he became the pioneer Managing Director of First Chartered Insurance Company Limited after the introduction of the universal banking system in Nigeria.

He has served in different capacities in the insurance industry in Nigeria. After rejoining Leadway Assurance Company in 2005 as Special Assistant to the MD/CEO and Strategy Resource, where he was involved in the process of investment by International Finance Corporation [IFC], he left to join Cornerstone Insurance Plc in 2008 as Head of Business Strategy.

Ekerete is passionate about leadership and has brought his experiences to bear in seeking to see the transformation of the insurance industry in Nigeria into one that supports every household in the management of increasing daily risks.

He is married and is a member of Ikoyi Club 1938
